Our trip to Wiesbaden Middle and High School

The principal of Wiesbaden Middle School, Ms Venglik, welcomes us at the entrance hall of the school.

 

Hello everybody

on Monday, October 5^th, 2009 we visited Wiesbaden Middle and High School with our class, 8c . We went there all together by bus . Ms. Trüschler and Ms. Brünger accompanied us and had a look at us . When we arrived, we had lunch in the school‘s big cafeteria .

Then the principal , Ms. Venglik , and another lady welcomed us , showed us around and explained to us everything about the whole school . 20 minutes later , we met our exchange partners . They were also 8^th and 7^th graders . Two of our students spoke to one of them . We talked about our hobbies or about the differences of their school and our school . For example , one lesson takes 90 minutes and the windows were different because you could not look inside when you stood outside, but you could look outside when you were inside . We could talk to our exchange partners for about 30 minutes . All of us were afraid that we would not know the sentences which we wanted to say, but it was okay. Then we went with our partners to their classes . We could contribute something to the lesson if we wanted . Their classrooms were very modern because they had many high-tech equipment in it like a touch screen blackboard or a fan for hot days in the summer. After that , we went to the high school . There , we had a look at the cheerleader and at football practice . We could also try both sports . The cheerleaders showed us some of their tricks which they are presenting at every match of the football team . At the football practice , we could also try the equipment of the football players . A few of us tried to be a cheerleader or a football player . We had a lot of fun, so maybe you could also go there to visit this school.
